Alex Jordan is a singer and multi-instrumentalist graduate from The Bob Cole Conservatory, California State University, Long Beach. Alex was a long time member of Cubensis – The Grateful Dead Music Experience and has performed with Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and Peter Rowin.

While making his sophomore album down in Austin, Texas, Alex took an opportunity to record a cover of “Blue” by the Jayhawks. The track, produced by Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) and mixed by Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tedeschi Trucks Band), features Alex on Hammond B3 and lead vocals with Austin’s own Carrie Rodriguez on harmony vocals and a horn arrangement by Mark “Speedy” Gonzales.

Kind Hearted Strangers:

Hailing from all corners of the country, Kind Hearted Strangers began in Boulder, CO - where an impromptu open mic performance by songwriter Marc Townes quickly evolved into something much bigger. With genre bending improvisations from lead guitarist Kevin Hinder and bassist/vocalist Ace Engfer, KHS has become a dynamic full band capable of bridging the gap between all out rock n’ roll and their harmony-driven acoustic roots.
